I still get to do some pretty neat things. Today, I contributed to someone else’s dream. I helped a brand new GT recipient decide between mexico, riviera, and grabber blue on his GT allocation/order.

I really am a part of a much bigger picture thing in life. I never thought I’d have an opportunity like this. And the owner sought me out, not the other way around. He invited me to his shop to see how the color looked on my mustang in person because it was the best way to get a feel for the color.

He was also the first really really rich guy that didn’t treat me like a lesser human being in person because I wasn’t on his monetary level. He was really humble and kind and treated me like an equal. And we had an epic 4 hour conversation about cars and car history and such and invited me back again to chat anytime. It was the genuine happiest I’ve been in weeks.

I get to know whether or not his new GT ends up like this tomorrow and see it when it arrives. So if you see a legit painted Grabber Blue GT in Michigan, I helped in some way to make it reality.

That’s pretty cool.

Oh, no. I’m not expecting or even hoping for anything like that. While that would be an amazing experience, I’ve done nothing to deserve such an experience.

Except had a 4 hour long conversation about cars. That is perhaps a more rare thing to be able to do with someone than you realize, oh, and you took time out to share your car with him. If he knows you are an enthusiast, he might just want to share that with you. or not. maybe he’s actually a troll.

Wow - awesome. I’d definitely keep in touch and grow that into a real friendship. Who else can you talk about cars with for 4 hours (not on OPPO)?

It’s not about deserving. If he doesn’t offer, it’s understandable, but if he offers it, it’s about one enthusiast sharing his joy with another one.
